How are you? Do you have children? if yes, how did bellydance help you?

Re: Healthy Dance Notes
Mon, February 21, 2005 - 7:45 AMHi Mayra,
Yes, I have one little girl who is now 12 years old and 5'6 100 lbs. She stands about 6 inches over me so far. She was a perfect size baby 6 lb 7oz, 19 in long and healthy as a horse. She was about 1/3 my size.
I grew up dancing and taught when I was 15 to 18. But my husband didn't like it when we got together when I was 20 and I quit till I was 30. But after having my baby, I needed to get back in shape and that is all I knew. So I started taking from Morgiana for about 6 mths and felt ready to teach again and so I started teaching small and private classes about 1994 and have continued every since.
Belly dancing helped me get back in shape. But because I hadn't done it in a long time before I don't know if it helped me in childbirth or not. (Of course I never really QUIT, dancing I just didn't do it in public, or in front of my husband.) I don't think you ever really quit once you learn.
Sherry
